I am from North Battleford, Saskatchewan. We spent many weekends and most of the summer at the family farm north of Maidstone . My grandfather had the typical farm cows, pigs, chickens ,horses , cats and dogs. He also tried to grow grain on land that grows awesome hay to this day. I graduated form the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and started Hooves and Paws in Elrose the spring of 1996. My husband Earl and I had the privilege of raising 3 now adult children in small town Saskatchewan. Currently our pets are 16 yr old 'Mama' cat, a 3 yr old cat trouble maker 'Mr. Bean' and 10yr Chuahua diva 'Edna Mo.' What I love about practice is the  animals and their owners . I want  them to get the best out of that relationship whether it be a family member,  a working member, or food producing animal. My favorite past times are gardening, hiking the Coteau hills, and enjoying Saskatchewan sunsets.

I grew up in Strathmore, Alberta where my love of animals began while checking cows with my dad. We always had animals growing up, so I learned at a young age how to handle them properly. I have had a lot of experience working cattle, and riding horses and I still have a great passion for agriculture. I graduated from Lakeland College in 2017 with a diploma in Animal Science Technology, and I am currently just finishing my second year of my Veterinary Technology program that I am doing through Thompson Rivers University. This program is an online distance program so I get to stay in Elrose, working and learning under my coworkers. I have five animals of my own, my dogs Fern + Sage, my cats Tuffy + Tuna, and my bunny Willy. In my spare time I enjoy taking my dogs for runs, and spending time with friends and family at the lake!
